Families are an important partner in new students’ success at Merrimack. We’re here to answer your questions and connect you with resources to best support your student during their time at the College.
Virtual Family Program

10 a.m. - 12 p.m. - Open Office Hours with Resource Fair Partners
Various campus offices will be available to answer questions and connect students and families to key individuals and departments on campus.
12 p.m. - Welcome
Orientation kicks off with a live session welcome from College leadership and our Orientation Leader staff! Become immersed in the Merrimack culture and community and learn why every day is a great day to be a Warrior!
12:45 p.m. - Enlightened and Engaged Parent
In this live session, our Vice President of Student Affairs/Dean of Students and Dean of Student Success and Academic Support will discuss how to stay close to students in college while allowing them to become independent students.
1:30 p.m. - Campus Safety
In this live session, hear from the Merrimack College Police Department about the measures taken to keep students safe.
2 p.m. - Break
2:15 p.m. - Mental Health Matters
In this live session, representatives from the Hamel Health and Counseling Center will review the most common ways that students’ mental health will be challenged in college and how to help them stay emotionally fit.
3 p.m. - Mission and Merrimack
In this pre-recorded session, hear insight into the values upon which Merrimack was founded as expressed in the Mission and Vision Statement of the College, and the pivotal role that it plays on campus every day.
3:45 p.m. - Program Meetings
Parents and family members of students enrolled in Compass and Promise programs are invited to learn about the program and its benefits via live sessions with their program directors.
