Do family members attend Orientation?
Yes, we offer a one-day program for family members in June. The is the first day of each Orientation Session. This is optional and we request that you sign up family members when you register for your Orientation session. Students and family members will check-in together starting at 9:00am. The Family portion of the program will end with a family reception from 4:30pm-6:00pm on the first day.
Is Orientation mandatory?
Orientation is your official welcome to college and is a time when you will learn more about your transition to Merrimack and important information to get you started on the right foot. Orientation is your first stop along the way in meeting your classmates and learning everything you can about Merrimack College. Exceptions may be made in cases of extreme hardship or emergency. What are the start/end times of Orientation?
Check-In on the first day will be between 9:00am-11:00am for families and students. Students will end on the second day between 12:00pm-1:00pm. The family program will conclude on the first day with a family reception from 4:30pm-6:00pm.
I am a transfer student. Is there anything special for me?
Yes! All incoming students are welcome to attend June Orientation.
Do Commuters Attend Orientation?
Yes, commuters should take part in the entire orientation program.
Can I Rent or Purchase a Laptop Through the College?
Yes, you can purchase a laptop through Merrimack’s Office of Information Technology Services.
Do parents/families stay overnight during Orientation?
No, parents and families do not spend the night at Merrimack during Orientation. However there are recommendations for hotels in the area. Visit https://www.merrimack.edu/
