Frequently Asked Questions
When and how do I register for Orientation?
First things first: have you let Merrimack know that you’re coming here by paying your enrollment deposit? You have? Terrific! We can’t wait to meet you! Even though the enrollment deposit deadline isn’t until May 1, the Office of Admission in mid-April will begin emailing all deposited students with instructions to set up MyMack, your student portal. Once you have your Merrimack username and followed First Time User instructions, you will be able to log into MyMack, select MackTasks from the top menu bar and register for Orientation. Once you begin using MyMack, you will be able to check off many MackTasks that will get you ready to go as our newest Warrior!
Do family members attend Orientation?
Yes, we offer a one-day optional program for family members in June. We request that you enroll your family members when you register for your Orientation session.
Is Orientation mandatory?
Orientation is your official welcome to college and is a time when you will learn more about your transition to Merrimack and important information to get you started on the right foot. Orientation is your first stop along the way in meeting your classmates and learning everything you can about Merrimack College. Exceptions may be made in cases of extreme hardship or emergency. Please contact us at 978-837-5175 or by email at email@example.com if you are unable to attend Orientation.
I am a commuter. Do I have to attend Orientation?
Yes! Our Orientation program is designed for all incoming students. Both commuter and resident students will be able to stay one night in our residence halls during the two-day Orientation program.
I am a transfer student. Is there any special programming for me?
All incoming students are welcome to attend June Orientation. More information will be provided to transfer students regarding our June Orientation program.
