How to Register

Parents, please register for which session you will attend.  We encourage you to pick the same session that your student will be on campus, but have various dates and opportunities to fit your schedule.

Parent and Family Orientation coincides with Student Orientation. Available dates and times include:

The tentative schedule for the parent sessions is below to guide you through your day. Make sure you check your email for more communication from the Orientation team. It will provide specific instructions regarding coming on to campus, parking, check-in locations and more.

Schedule of Events for the 2 day Orientation Sessions:
June 14-15 & June 21-22

Day 1

3:30-5:30 p.m.
Check In- Rogers Center Patio

Your students will be getting their MackCard, receiving a bag of Merrimack gear and checking in to their residence hall. Please be sure to swing by the family check-in table and then feel free to join your student or stroll around campus on your own.

5:30-6:00 p.m. 
Welcome- Rogers Center for the Arts
Orientation kicks off with a welcome from College leadership and our Orientation Leader staff! Become immersed in the Merrimack culture and community and learn why every day is a great day to be a Warrior!
6:00-7:00 p.m.
Parent Reception- Sakowich Campus Center Patio

Celebrate the start of your family’s Merrimack journey and meet members of the campus community.

After the reception, feel free to reference our restaurant list to grab a bite to eat around the area. Staying in the area? Here’s our hotel list with special Merrimack rates. And we’ll see you back on day 2!

Mission and Merrimack- Rogers Center for the Arts

Join Fr. Ray Dlugos, O.S.A., Vice President of Mission and Ministry, in our first session to hear more about the values upon which Merrimack was founded as expressed in the Mission and Vision Statement of the College, and the pivotal role that it plays on campus every day.

10:30-11:15 a.m.
How to Best Support Your Warrior In Their Success- Rogers Center for the Arts

This session will be presented collaboratively between the Academic Success Center and Dean of Students Office to help share connections across our community that help to assist you to stay close to your students while encouraging them to be independent.

11:15-11:45 a.m.
Coffee Break

11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Keeping your Warriors Wellness and Safety a Priority- Rogers Center for the Arts

Join our Counseling and Wellness Center and Police Department to hear about the most common ways that students’ mental health will be challenged in college, how to help them stay emotionally fit and what we do on campus to keep your warrior safe.

12:30-1:30 p.m.
Lunch- Rogers Center Patio

1:30-2:00 p.m.

When Orientation is Completed, Now What?- Rogers Center for the Arts

Your Warrior will attend orientation and learn a great deal about the College, but what’s next? We will discuss what questions to ask, how to help your Warrior prepare for the fall, and what the first six weeks will look like for your student.

2:00 p.m.
Campus Business and Area Exploration- Various Locations

Still have questions? Representatives from various offices will be available for in-person visits. Feel free to stop by the Family Lounge in the Arcidi Center to grab a snack or check your email.
