Hometown: Billerica, MA
Majors: Communication and Media
Minors: Digital Media production, film studies
One thing I wished I knew before Orientation: All the different opportunities and chances orientation can offer
Why I chose Merrimack: Merrimack has up to date facilities for my major, such as the TV studio and Radio Studio
Hometown: Warren, Rhode Island
Major: Business Administration: Accounting and Corporate Finance & Investments
Minor: Religious & Theological Studies
One thing I wished I knew before Orientation: The only way that you are going to grow is by stepping out of your comfort zone. It might be a little nerve-wracking at first but will only benefit you in the long run.
Why I chose Merrimack: I loved the opportunity for personal growth and development through the Girard School of Business and was incredibly intrigued by the Accounting Co-op program and opportunities for internships. The campus is also the perfect size, not too big or small, and the community is extremely welcoming, making me feel at home on my first day.
Hometown: Palmer, MA
Majors: English and Secondary Education
Minor: Women’s & Gender Studies
One thing I wished I knew before Orientation: That it’s okay to be completely yourself! It’s okay to be nervous about making new friends, but if you are just yourself then I promise you’ll find your people!
Why I chose Merrimack: I knew Merrimack was going to be my home away from home the second I stepped on campus. The small size and personalized feel from the start made me confident that I could easily find my place in the Merrimack community.
Hometown: Hamden, CT
Major: Communication and Media
Minors: Double Minor in Marketing and Religious and Theological Studies
One thing I wished I knew before Orientation: I wish I knew to come to Orientation with an open mind; if you go in with a positive outlook, you’ll leave with a positive outcome… I promise!
Why I chose Merrimack: When I came to an admitted students day, I just knew this is where I should call home. It was impossible to ignore how much community really meant to Merrimack and that sense of welcomeness I felt when I first came to campus has never waivered. I found the place where I truly belong and I can honestly say choosing Merrimack was the best decision I’ve ever made.
