We are excited to welcome you to Merrimack’s campus for our Spring Orientation sessions for resident students! We have a full calendar of activities planned for you and your family.

Resident Student Orientation Schedule

Spring Orientation for resident students is from Monday, Jan. 13, to Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025.

We have a full schedule of Orientation activities planned for you. You’ll get acclimated to campus, meet your fellow Warriors and have some fun.

Reference the schedule below to guide you through the daily sessions. Check your Merrimack email for additional communication from the Orientation team regarding group numbers and your assigned Orientation Leaders. For the most up to date locations please download CORQ and review the Orientation events.

Noon - 3:00 p.m

Student Check In - McQuade Library

Residential students living on campus will check in with Admissions staff, Hamel Health staff, receive their Mack Card and key to move into residence halls. Warrior One Stop/Financial Aid will be available for questions.  

4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Group Time

5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Dinner with Groups - Sparky’s

6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Res Life 101 Meetings/Student Social - Deegan Lounge

Learn about residential life while mingling with other residential students and enjoy some crafts and treats!

Throughout the day, this space is available for students who are feeling overwhelmed to take a break and practice some wellness activities before rejoining the Orientation sessions or groups.

Welcome/Mission and Merrimack - McQuade Auditorium

Orientation kicks off with a welcome by Merrimack College leadership and our Orientation Team! Become immersed in the Merrimack culture and community and learn why every day is a great day to be a Warrior! Hear from Fr. Ray Dlugos about Merrimack’s history and mission.

10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

First Year Students - Crowe 207

Transfer Students - Crowe 209

11:30 a.m. - Noon

MCPD/Emergency Preparedness - Crowe 107

Campus safety is a priority at Merrimack. Hear from MCPD about safety protocols and resources available.

Noon - 1:00 p.m.

Lunch with Asst. Deans - Crowe Executive Room 

Enjoy lunch with the Academic Assistant Deans of the College.

Wings and Things - Student Social 

Wrap up your Orientation session by bowling with your fellow students! Orientation Leaders will also be in attendance to answer questions to help get you prepared for classes to start on Wednesday such as textbooks and a tour for class locations.
