In celebration of Banned Books Week (September 27- October 3), the McQuade Library will be joining individuals and institutions around the world in a Virtual Read-Out!

For the last three decades, libraries and bookstores have held read-out programs (public readings of banned or challeneged books) as part of their Banned Books Week activities. The Virtual Read-Out program brings these readings to a global audience in the form of YouTube videos. In the weeks leading up to Banned Books Week we will be making our own short videos talking about or reading an excerpt from our favorite banned books, and uploading them to the Banned Books Week YouTube channel.

All are welcome to join us in showing support for the freedom of ideas and expression by signing up to create your own Virtual Read-Out!
