Dr. Daniel Herda brings his second Sociology of Immigration class to Germany

For the second consecutive year, Professor Herda's Sociology of Immigration class (SOC 3650) traveled to Germany to observe and experience the phenomenon of human migration first-hand.

Highlights of the May 2018 trip included a tour of the German Reichstag in Berlin, a visit to the Ballinstadt Emigration Museum in Hamburg, a joint classroom day at the Catholic University of Social Sciences, a tour of the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg, a visit to the Neuengamme concentration camp and crossing over the Polish border on foot.
