Local Woman, 66, Graduates from Merrimack College

Merrimack College’s Class of 2020 includes graduate student Sue Sinacore, 66, who chose to switch careers later in life and earn her clinical and mental health counseling master’s degree.

    Tragedy turns to triumph for Merrimack grad, 66, who went back to school after her husband's unexpected passing to earn her master's degree in clinical mental health counseling.

Sue Sinacore, 66, graduated from Merrimack this spring with a master’s in clinical mental health counseling. After losing her husband in a cycling accident, the retired audiologist turned to a degree where she could help others.

“She just proves, no matter what age you are, you can do whatever you want,” said classmate Irene Triantos. “You can attend school at any age.”
