Free For All: Making the Case for School Meals for All in Massachusetts

On Thursday, April 14, 2022, CHIRP - in partnership with Project Bread, is sponsoring a virtual discussion of school meals.

Due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, children have received free school meals this year. However, the federal policy is about to end, which will impact children across Massachusetts. To address this, Representative Andy Vargas, along with Senator Sal DiDomenico, have filed legislation for School Meals for All.

Join CHIRP on Thursday, April 14, from 1-2:15 p.m. for this free Zoom discussion featuring Erin McAleer – president & CEO – Project Bread; Janet Poppendieck, author of Free for All: Fixing School Food in America; Representative Andres X. Vargas, District: 3rd Essex; and Juliana Cohen, associate professor & director of CHIRP.
