Dr. Maura Mast gets the inside scoop about who the song “School’s out for summer” was written for, directly from Alice Cooper himself. He confided that he wrote the song for both the teachers and for the students.

Dr. Maura Mast, American Council of Education (ACE) Fellow at Merrimack College, recently travelled to the United Arab Emirates as part of her fellowship.  While attending an event in Abu Dhabi hosted by Sheikh Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Chancellor of two of the national colleges, Dr. Mast met a special guest, Alice Cooper. Alice sang “School’s out for summer” at the event.

Dr. Mast is Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies and Associate Professor of Mathematics, University of Massachusetts, Boston, joined Merrimack College this semester.
