Special Topics - Business Intelligence

Business Intelligence course focuses on imparting conceptual understanding of the value of information for business performance management. In parallel, it targets developing participants’ skills in the areas of data mining, visualization and data analysis using widely used business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Excel and/or Tableau. The course heavily relies on case studies, audio/video resources and hands-on exercises to reveal that right measurements and KPIs (key performance indicators) are critical for successful management of organizational strategies. Underlying technologies such as data warehouses, data marts and OLAP will also be discussed with some mentioning of the data science and analytics areas.
