Why are you committed to diversity and inclusivity education at Merrimack? /Unity House?

Growing up in Lawrence, and then attending Merrimack College, a primarily white institution, I was struck by the difference between the two communities. Unity House represents an incredible opportunity to build a bridge between two very separate worlds, where people unfamiliar with the other side are able to learn about each other in a fun, safe and exciting way. For me, the Augustinian concept of recognizing areas for growth sparked my interest in this student-led initiative. My commitment to Unity House lies in my commitment to the community to strengthen its bonds by celebrating its differences.
