Office of the Provost

Patricia Sendall, Ph.D.

Dean, Experiential Education

Patricia Sendall was named Merrimack’s inaugural dean of experiential education in June 2017. In this position, she leads the design and implementation of a suite of high-impact experiences that assist students in personal growth, critical reflection and development, in close collaboration with the deans and faculty of the college.

Sendall, a tenured professor of management in the Girard School of Business, previously served as special assistant to President Christopher Hopey and senior international officer for the college, responsible for academic and other programmatic internationalization initiatives, including study abroad. In that role, she led a mission-critical project to expand experiential education at Merrimack.

A former vice provost for academic affairs, Faculty Senate president and chair of the Department of Management, Sendall was an American Council on Education Fellow in 2011-12, working in the Office of the Provost at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
