Dan Vlahos is a Boston-based designer, artist and educator, and his multidisciplinary design work has been recognized by the AIGA, the One Club and the Interactive Media Council, among others. His past clients include Volkswagen, Harvard University, Colby College, Duke University, Northeastern University, the New England Conservatory, Educators for Social Responsibility, the Fenway Alliance and the architecture firm Shepley Bulfinch.
Vlahos first began teaching in 2009 as a visiting lecturer in MassArt’s continuing-education program. He was later promoted to a full-time assistant professor. His thesis work and ongoing research interests center upon learning experience (LX) design, the exploration of speculative multimodal interactive learning techniques in the context of assistive, peer and creative learning.
