Brandi Baldock, Ph.D.
Chemistry and Biochemistry
Brandi Baldock’s dissertation focused on studying the interactions between DNA-linked gold nanoparticles and adenosine. She also performed postdoctoral chemical education at the University of Oregon, while teaching general chemistry lecture and lab courses.
Her research focused on developing inquiry-based laboratory experiments and studying the impact of interactive teaching strategies on student achievement and retention. At Merrimack, she will focus on materials-science research at the nano-bio interface, and she will develop curriculum and teaching materials that promote student development of scientific inquiry skills in a green chemistry context.
