Maureen W. Sakakeeny
School of Science and Engineering
Maureen Walsh Sakakeeny is a registered Professional Engineer with expertise in civil and environmental engineering consulting and higher educational administration. She joined the Dean’s staff in 2014.
Ms. Sakakeeny’s focus is on student recruitment and retention in the School of Science and Engineering. She supports the Dean on graduate programs, first-year programs including the iTEC NSF grant program, and marketing and promotion of the School. She serves as a liaison to various on campus and off campus offices and industry contacts.
She holds multiple professional and sustainability certifications and serves on a number of professional committees and boards. She is a co-owner of SAK Environmental LLC, an environmental engineering consulting firm in North Andover, MA.

Ms. Sakakeeny’s engineering experience includes environmental planning and permitting, infrastructure engineering design, and construction management. She has been a Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Principal Engineer at several Boston-area consulting firms. She also served for eight years on the Dean’s Leadership Team as the Director of External Relations for the School of Engineering at Tufts University.
