Lisa Cavallaro, MEd’16
- Associate Director, Honors Program
As associate director, I serve as an adviser to the various student groups, including the Honors Student Council, honors ambassadors, honors journalists, honors staff assistants, honors mentors and honors social media coordinators. I oversee advisement and work closely with the Office of Residential Life in coordinating the honors living-learning community. I also manage the daily operations of the Honors Commons and facilitate budgeting, purchasing and strategy with the director.
I coordinate initiatives promoting engagement of honors program alumni and am a First Year Experience instructor. I am interested in student leadership and international study and participated in faculty-led short-term study abroad and immersion trips with Merrimack, to Spain, Morocco, London, Italy, Dominican Republic, San Diego and Mexico.
Prior to joining the honors program staff, I spent 12 years working in international marketing and sales for high-technology companies in the Boston area. Outside of Merrimack, I enjoy spending time with my husband and five children. I am passionate about philanthropy and giving back, and am a founding director of Impact 100 Boston. I am entering my eleventh year as part of the Honors Program.
