Allan DelValle joined the Department of Health Sciences and became the Head Athletic Trainer for the Sports Medicine staff in August of 2011. He has a dual role as manager of the clinical athletic training staff, which is responsible for the overall healthcare of the athletes on Merrimack College’s 22 varsity athletic teams, as well as teaching within the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP). 

As a preceptor in the ATEP, he interacts daily with students in the Sports Medicine program helping to bridge their learning experience from the classroom to the clinical setting. Within the ATEP, he teaches a Clinical Experience module. As a clinician, he is primarily responsible for providing healthcare services for the Div. I Men’s Ice Hockey program. 

DelValle is a Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
