Cynthia Ferrara comes to Merrimack College from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, where she was associate professor of physical therapy and director of the exercise physiology program. Her expertise is in exercise science, specifically the physiological basis of exercise, adaptations to exercise training, and promotion of physical activity. Her research has focused on the evaluation of cardiovascular risk factors and interventions that might reduce risk factors for cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
