  • Graduate Ambassador, M.Ed., Community Engagement

Sarah Whittier is a graduate student in the Master of Education in Community Engagement program at Merrimack College. She graduated from Merrimack College in May 2020 with a double major in Human Development and Education with minors in Religious & Theological Studies and Women & Gender Studies.

Having fallen in love with the community and the relationships she formed as an undergraduate student at Merrimack, Sarah began her Master of Education in Community Education this past summer. In addition to being a full-time student, Sarah has been awarded a fellowship in which she works with the Community Group Learning Center curriculum director and administration in Lawrence, Massachusetts. In her fellowship, Sarah sets up classroom resources for the teachers and performs administrative tasks such as creating presentations and ensuring that all forms are up to date with embedded links for new hires. She currently loves the experience that she is gaining and believes that the Community Education program will help her to achieve her career aspirations of becoming a kindergarten teacher.
