Walter Tingle earned a master’s and a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. A member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, he previously worked for General Electric’s Aviation Division as a senior, senior staff, and principal engineer, designing combustors, fuel injectors, exhaust systems, and aircraft and engine inlets systems, including inlet particle separators, for gas turbine engines. His expertise includes aero-thermodynamic design, large and small scale prototype testing, sheet metal manufacturing and quality, droplet/particle laden flows, and computational fluid dynamic analysis. He holds seven patents in the areas of combustion, fuel injection, inlets and exhausts, and authored two technical papers.
