MACK Card Goes Mobile

Students, faculty and staff can now access a mobile version of their Merrimack College ID card on their smartphones and watches.

Now when Merrimack College students, faculty and staff swipe into Sparky’s, access the fitness center or check an item out of McQuade Library, they can grab their phone instead of their wallet.

MACK card, the College’s identification card for anyone studying, living or working on campus, is now available in mobile version on smartphones and watches. This digital copy features a user’s headshot and a Merrimack-specific design. Functionality is nearly identical to the physical card, including access to residence halls and campus buildings, meal swipes and purchases at Dunkin’ and the bookstore.

“Merrimack is one of the first schools in Massachusetts to offer this innovation,” said Karen Slaton, vice president and chief information officer, “We join a prestigious list of larger institutions (such as) Penn State, the University of Alabama and the University of Oklahoma who offer this service to their staff and students. Students expect us to continuously innovate and meet them where they are – on their mobile device.”

Mobile MACK cards are compatible with digital wallets available on Apple, Samsung and Google smartphones and watches. Click here to find instructions to set up mobile MACK card.

Physical MACK cards can still be used during the 2024-25 school year.
