Mark Lippman Biography
Mark Lippman is the interim dean of the Girard School of Business at Merrimack College, assuming the role in January 2024.
Interim Dean Lippman joined Merrimack College in 2021 as assistant professor of practice, Entrepreneurship and has been instrumental in the growth of the Girard School’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
He spearheaded the Entrepreneurship concentration, developed partnerships with start-up firms and led the launch of the Entrepreneurship Lab (E-Lab), for which he served as the director. The E-Lab, located on the first floor of Crowe Hall, is a dedicated space for students and faculty across Merrimack to collaborate, develop and bring new ideas to market.
Interim Dean Lippman has nearly two decades of business, marketing, cybersecurity and entrepreneurship expertise that spans the public and private sectors. Before joining Merrimack, he was a managing director with the global consulting firm Protiviti Inc., leading the security and privacy practice in the Mid-Atlantic region. He also co-founded Arsenal Security Group, a leading cybersecurity consulting firm focused on credit card fraud and remediation. He started his career in the federal government, working in the Office of the Vice President, the Department of Defense and the CIA.
He is an enthusiastic supporter of Merrimack’s athletic teams and enjoys attending Merrimack’s academic and seasonal celebrations.
Interim Dean Lippman received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester.
