Dr. Li’s current research interest include contemporary Chinese political thought and Sino-Latin American relations. His books include Political Thought and China’s Transformation: Ideas Shaping Reform in Post-Mao China (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015), From Revolution to Reform: A Comparative Study of China and Mexico (University Press of America, 2004), Sino-Latin American Economic Relations (Praeger, 1991), and Chinese Labyrinth: Exploring China’s Model of Development (Lexington Book, 2012, co-edited with Baogang Guo).
