Welcome to the School of Education & Social Policy graduate programs!
The School of Education & Social Policy provides the opportunity for students to become thoughtful leaders in education and their communities. The curricular focus is on the impact of social justice and engaging citizens for the greater social good. The School prepares students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and develop solutions to today’s most significant societal challenges.
Embedded in the curriculum is an experiential component; each student participates in a field experience during their program which is designed to connect theories learned in the classroom to practice in real-world environments. All students also have the opportunity to participate in research with faculty, often working with a local community partner to affect real change in that organization.
Situated in the Merrimack Valley, our students benefit from the campus’ proximity to diverse urban and suburban neighborhoods. Students are provided with opportunities to become immersed and obtain hands-on experience in schools, early childhood centers, community-based non-profits, college/university settings, youth advocacy, and criminal justice offices. The School maintains an active relationship with over 100 regional community partners.
