In the Summer Seminars, our Admissions team will help students and their families gain vital insight into the college application process. In two separate sessions, the team will provide advice and important tips for applying to college and also allow students to see the college’s perspective during the application process as they review prospective applicants. These sessions are an excellent tool to help students get organized this summer as they begin their college search.
Each Summer Seminar begins in the Rogers Center and includes a campus tour and light refreshments. Students and parents are welcome and encouraged to attend both sessions for a comprehensive look into the college application process.
A Practical Guide for Applying to College
This Summer Seminar covers the Common Application in depth, including tips for writing an excellent college essay and getting a great recommendation. In this session, parents will also have the opportunity to learn more about the FAFSA and the overall financial aid process.
Behind the Scenes: How Admission Decisions are Made
In this Summer Seminar, students are given the opportunity to be an admission officer for the day, read mock applications, and learn what makes a prospective student stand out from the crowd of applicants.
