Have You Heard?

Some common phrases that convey the essence of experiential education are captured in the following Chinese proverbs:
  • “I hear and I think; I see and I remember; I do and I know.”
  • “Give me a fish and I can eat for a day; teach me to fish and I can eat for a lifetime.”
  • “Tell me and I’ll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I’ll understand.”
