Resident Student Parking

  • Resident students are welcome to complete the 2023-2024 Student Vehicle Registration Application in MyMack; however, parking spaces are not guaranteed
  • Priority parking will be based on class year, students with approved accommodations from the Accessibility Services Office and students with confirmed off-campus experiential-education placements. Once all parking decal stickers have been assigned to students in these priority areas, the Office of Parking, Transportation and Campus Access will review the remaining applications. Resident students, including students living at Royal Crest through the Office of Residence Life, who have been authorized for a parking pass will need their Merrimack ID to pick up their parking pass. Freshmen and sophomore resident students, as a general rule, should not expect to have a vehicle on campus, and opportunities for juniors will be limited. Students who do not receive a parking decal will be placed on a wait list.
  • Resident students who purchase decals to park on campus will be assigned a numbered space. Vehicles parked in assigned parking spots in Lot J and Lot K without the corresponding decal will be subject to tow at the vehicle owner’s expense. Vehicles parked in lots anywhere on campus without the corresponding decal for that lot will be subject to tow.
  • Parking passes must be clearly displayed on the driver’s side as far to the rear of the vehicle as possible. Failure to correctly display parking decals could result in ticketing and/or towing at the owner’s expense.
  • Note: Students living in Royal Crest will be issued Royal Crest parking assignments and are not eligible for on-campus parking decals.
  • Please see our campus map for lot locations.

Commuter Student Parking

  • Parking passes are required to park on campus and are available to all commuter students attending the college. Commuter students who wish to park a vehicle on campus must fill out the required 23-24 Student Vehicle Registration Application available in MyMack.
  • Once the campus parking registration application is processed, commuter students will receive an email from parking@merrimack.edu with additional information regarding picking up their parking decal stickers.
  • Commuter students will need their Merrimack ID to pick up their parking pass.
  • Parking passes must be clearly displayed on the driver’s side as far to the rear of the vehicle as possible. Failure to correctly display parking decals could result in ticketing and/or towing at the owner’s expense.
  • Please see our campus map for lot locations.

Royal Crest Residents (assigned through Res Life)

  • Royal Crest residents that are placed through the Office of Residence Life must complete the Vehicle Registration form to be considered for a Royal Crest parking permit. A Royal Crest parking permit allows you to park on the premises of the apartment complex only once the permit is correctly fixated on the assigned vehicle. Students will be required to abide by the parking policies and regulations as published by Royal Crest. Students with a Royal Crest pass are not allowed to park on campus.
  • Once the parking permit has expired, students are required to return the permit to The Office of Parking, Transportation and Campus Access, located in Austin Hall. Failure to return the parking permit upon it’s expiration will result in a $250.00 fine to be charged to the student account.
  • Students will receive emails from parking@merrimack.edu with all updates and concerns pertaining to parking at Royal Crest.

Parking Registration Fees

Students must place parking decals on their vehicle within 24 hours of issuance (decals will come with instructions about where on the vehicle they should be displayed). Decals are nontransferable and may be used only for the vehicle for which it was issued.

  • The 23-24 Faculty and Staff Vehicle Registration Form is available on myMack. Merrimack employees must register their car each year. All current 2022-2023 parking hang tags expire at the end of August.
  • Faculty and Staff will be notified when they can begin picking up their hang tag from the parking office on the first floor of Austin Hall, Monday – Friday between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please allow one business day upon completing the form to pick up your pass.

Special Parking Circumstances

The College reserves the right to temporarily close and clear parking lots if needed to accommodate events taking place on campus, such as Homecoming and Commencement, and weather advisories. All students, faculty and staff should pay close attention to email updates from the Office of Parking & Transportation and the Merrimack College Police Department for any last-minute changes. Students, faculty and staff are responsible for notifying their guests and any vendors of these temporary lot closures.

Special Circumstances

Off-Campus Academic Programming

Students enrolled in credit-bearing internships, co-op jobs, practicums or other experiential-education placements are eligible to purchase an on-campus resident parking decal on a semester basis. To obtain a decal, students must provide the Office of Parking, Transportation and Campus Access with a letter of support from their academic dean or the O’Brien Center for Career Development. The cost is the same as for resident students, pro-rated by semester, and will be added to the student’s bill.

Students with Disabilities

Students with permanent or temporary disabilities may apply for parking through the Office of Accessibility Services.
