Devin McGovern
Math Major Scores At Merrimack
Devin is a current junior at Merrimack, majoring in mathematics. She also has minors in Religious and Theological Studies and Spanish. Before Merrimack, Devin was nominated as her team’s MVP for four years throughout high school and was named a Connecticut Scholar-Athlete three times. Now at Merrimack, Devin enjoys her current academic journey and appreciates the support she feels from our community.
“Merrimack has supported me in everything that I have done. I feel I always have somebody to turn to, and they know the correct direction to point me when I have questions and how to help me. I feel that in all of my mathematics classes I have taken, my professors have taught me to persevere, even when it gets really hard, and I believe that I cannot keep going.”
“I chose Merrimack because I felt like I fit in with the community, and was so welcomed with open arms in every aspect. I also wanted to swim for the team.”
Devin is also active on campus, serving on the student athlete committee and as an Austin Scholar in addition to her time with the swim team.
