Merrimack’s Student Union is a welcoming space on campus for you to hang out and socialize with your friends. Grab a bite to eat at Monica’s Kitchen, bowl a few frames at our six-lane bowling center, use the golf simulator or esports gaming area, and play some pool.Â
The Student Union is located in the lower level of the Collegiate Church of Christ the Teacher. It serves as the College’s hub for on-campus social and academic community events, activities and services. Its 13,000-plus-square-feet of space allows for traditional recreational opportunities like bowling and billiards, as well as provides a central gathering place for our community.
The Student Union features a 4,000-square-foot bowling center and lounge that has a combination of high-top and booth seating. With six lanes of classic 10-pin bowling, it features touch screens, interactive scoring systems and overhead projectors. Stop by the front desk to book a bowling lane and rent your bowling shoes. Each rental is only two Warrior Dollars per student.
Whether you’re on Merrimack’s esports club team or a gaming enthusiast, you’ll have access to our state-of-the-art, 950-square-foot game room with a dedicated fiberoptic line. Inside, you’ll find 17 PCs, Xbox Series X Consoles, Nintendo Switch devices and Oculus VR. And of course, some comfy gaming chairs, brand new headsets and state-of-the-art hardware.
The Student Union features a spacious pool table area where you can grab a cue stick and play your friends on our large, top-of-the-line pool tables. Order food service while you play.
Stop by our 360-square-foot golf simulator where you can practice your swing year-round in a high-tech TrackMan Golf simulator. Through radar and camera technology, the simulator will transport you to major golf courses all over the world with undeniably realistic readings.Â
Merrimack’s newest café and grill on campus is located within the Student Union. It features indoor and outdoor seating with a variety of food options, including all day coffee and breakfast, paninis and sandwiches, soup & salads, pub fare, daily specials and gluten-free and vegan options.
Seven decades ago, Merrimack’s Student Union was used as a performing arts center hosting “Onstagers” events, comedians including Jay Leno, and bands like Aerosmith and Boston. It was one of the first student centers on campus and was located in the College’s church basement. The space was later left untouched for decades until its renovations in 2022.Â
