Scholarships and Grants

Scholarships and Grants

At Merrimack, we offer a variety of scholarships and grants to help make your education affordable. Awards are based on many factors like financial need, academic achievement, athletic, musical, or theatrical talent, group involvement or even majors and career goals.

The best part? Scholarships and grants are gift aid, meaning you don’t have to pay them back. Check out our General Award Policies for details on how awards can be renewed, and take a look at the charts below to explore the different opportunities available for incoming students.

Scholarship eligibility is automatically considered during the admission process. Humanities, Government, and Creative Arts & Design applicants can qualify for Merrimack scholarships, need-based aid, and state or federal grants. Scholarship amounts are adjusted to reflect the lower overall cost of attendance.

Grants are based on financial need, so be sure to complete the FAFSA to be considered. Once you file, you’ll automatically be reviewed for available grants (no extra steps required!)
