Experience at Its Core

Experiential education is a formal program that has experience at its core; it is hands-on, meaningful and substantial, and is linked to the learner’s academic, professional and/or personal goals.

The experience, be it internships and co-ops; student-faculty researchservice learningsemester-long and short-term study abroad; or practicums and fellowships, is directed and monitored by a Merrimack College faculty or staff member to help students develop their knowledge, skills, values and behaviors.
