Transfer Student Finds Success With Merrimack

Michael came to Merrimack College looking to obtain his bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He transferred to Merrimack for the second half of his sophomore year after spending his freshman year at Lesley University. “While I was looking at other institutions, Merrimack is the one who kept reaching out and asking what they could to help me. I felt welcomed and knew that with an institution as supportive as Merrimack, I would thrive.”

One feature of Merrimack that Michael truly appreciates, especially as a student transferring mid-semester, is the support our faculty and staff offer to our students. “My advisors have been extremely helpful throughout my college career. From building schedules to helping me set up LinkedIn, I feel that once I graduate, I will be in a very good place.”

“The faculty and academic programs that Merrimack College offers is what made me choose to spend the remainder of my college career with this institution.”

Michael is president of Pi Mu Epsilon, the mathematics national honor society at Merrimack College, as well as part of the club soccer team.
