REAL
ANALYSIS

MTH 4343

This course is an introduction with emphasis on theory to the foundations of the calculus of real valued functions of real variables. Topics will include uniform continuity, compactness, uniform convergence, differentiation and integration.

KNOT
THEORY

MTH 2650

An introduction to the mathematical theory of knots with emphasis on knot invariants, including tricolorability, unknotting number, bridge number, genus and knot polynomials with applications to other areas of mathematics.

Complex
Analysis

MTH 4645

An introduction to the calculus of functions of a complex variable for students of science, engineering, and mathematics. Topics include complex differentiation, harmonic functions, the Cauchy-Riemann equations, contour integrals, the Cauchy integral theorem and more.
