What You’ll Learn

With a sport management concentration, you will:

  • Focus on the unique opportunities and challenges facing the sports industry.
  • Learn how to balance the diverse needs of the various stakeholders in an athletic system, including players, fans, retailers, and media outlets.
  • Hone your quantitative skills, including statistical analysis and data interpretation, to identify opportunities for player and program improvement.
  • Acquire the foundational skills and knowledge you need to pursue graduate work in law or business administration.

Hands-on Learning

100% of students concentrating in sport management participate in at least one internship, co-op, fieldwork or practicum. You’ll have the opportunity to take part in semester-long internships. It’s your chance to gain real-world experience at sports institutions like Fenway Park, Kraft Sports Group, and NESN. Bonus? Build connections with passionate and plugged-in students, alumni, and industry professionals through the college’s Sport Management Club.
