Academic Services and Resources

Graduate Center

The Graduate Center at Merrimack College is a space dedicated to the success and engagement of our graduate students, both on campus and online. The staff of the Graduate Center includes two full-time directors and a cadre of student coordinators working together to offer programming, resources and one-on-one assistance to graduate students.

International Student Support

Sakowich Campus Center, Room 310 978-837-5225 The International Student Support office offers a customized orientation for international students and supports them with visa and immigration services as well as programs to optimize the academic, professional, social, personal and cultural transition into college and the United States. ISS serves as a liaison between Merrimack College, the U.S. government, and any foreign government concerning an international student studying at Merrimack. It is the student’s responsibility to remain compliant with their Merrimack I-20 and report any address, status, or academic major change to this office.

McQuade Library

McQuade Library is an evolving center for learning, study and research. Rich in traditional print materials, media, and digital resources, it provides workspaces for groups as well as quiet corners for solitary study. Access to library materials is available via the library website (www. merrimack.edu/library). Off-campus access to e-books, online journals, and other web-based resources requires a MACK card and password – contact the Help Desk for assistance. Research help is available via email, chat, telephone and in person.

O’Brien Center for Career Development

Sakowich Campus Center, Second Floor 978-837-5480 | [email protected] The O’Brien Center for Career Development provides professional career advising to support students as they explore a full range of employment opportunities. Students have 24/7 access to resources, including Advantage, InterviewStream, and Focus2. In addition, the O’Brien Center connects students with alumni and employers through networking events, on-campus interviews, career fairs, and information sessions.

Tickets are free of charge to students for all sporting events.

Bookstore

Merrimack Athletics Complex
The bookstore has textbooks, supplies, Merrimack sweatshirts, snack food and more. Purchases may also be made online.

The Counseling Center

We offer counseling and wellness programs to address all aspects of emotional health. All services are free of charge for enrolled Merrimack students.

Dining Options

Merrimack College offers a variety of dining options for students, open day and evenings. Meal plans are optional for all graduate students. Meal plans are selected and purchased through MyMack. 

Fitness Center

The Anthony Sakowich Recreation Complex on the first and second floors of our Sakowich Campus Center features a fitness area with cardio equipment, free weights, circuit training, aerobics/dance studio, indoor jogging/walking track, and basketball and volleyball courts. Merrimack students have free use of all fitness facilities with a valid Merrimack ID.

Hamel Health Center

The Hamel Health Center, staffed by licensed healthcare professionals, provides confidential medical health services to all Merrimack students for acute health issues and injuries, wellness visits, lab work and referrals.

Merrimack College Police Department

The primary focus of Merrimack College Police is to provide a safe and secure campus environment. Officers patrol the campus 24 hours a day by foot, bicycles and cruisers. The police dispatch center is staffed 24 hours a day and can be reached by phone and via call boxes located throughout campus.

Post Office

Sakowich Campus Center, Second Floor, 978-837-5941
Operated as a contract unit of the U.S. Postal Service, the campus post office functions as a college mail and shipping center. Available services include sale of stamps, U.S. postal money orders, Express Mail, global and domestic priority mail service and more. Cash, checks (with I.D.) and credit/debit cards are accepted. UPS shipping and packaging assistance are also available.

Students may purchase discounted tickets for events with their ID through the Box Office or online. 

The Office of Student Involvement (OSI)

To support graduate student life, the Office of Student Involvement provides programming specifically for graduate students, such as Trivia Nights, Socials, Study Breaks, and Etiquette Dinners. OSI also oversees the Graduate Student Senate, which is open to any graduate student in any graduate program. Graduate Student Senate provides all graduate students with a collective voice to and from the students, enrich the graduate student experience and provide a community across academic programs.
