Communication Disorders in the Classroom
4:30 pm - 6:30 pmCrowe Hall 212
Speaking, listening, writing, reading. Do these sound familiar? These are all key skills listed in the common core state standards. They also all happen to be communication or language skills! The ability to effectively use and understand language is the basis for all effective education. Come learn about the little-known but vital language necessary for students to be successful in the classroom.
Together we will explore the components of language, communication disorder, and evidence-based strategies to help students in your classroom.
Please note:Â This workshop will be facilitated by Helen Fitzgerald (Speech-Language Pathologist) and Stephanie Hand (Special Education Teacher). Additional information and logistics will be emailed to you after you RSVP. Certificates of participation will be provided.
