Pragmatic Language: What Are We REALLY Saying?
4:30 pm - 6:30 pmCrowe Hall 212

There is more to language than the words we use. Did you know that much of how we communicate happens without words? We use nonverbal communication for a variety of purposes such as using the “teacher look” to manage classroom behavior. It is actually an effective tool to reduce conflict. What happens when students do not understand these cues? We will look at all aspects of pragmatic language and how this impacts students in the classroom.
Come join us to explore the world of unspoken communication.
