Research Summary

Alexandra “Ali” Souris currently teaches The Holocaust and Modern World History at St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers, MA. She serves as an Anti-Bias Education facilitator. She is a graduate of the M.Ed. in Community Engagement program at Merrimack College. She has over twenty years of experience teaching and developing Humanities curricula in public, private, and residential educational settings. Her teaching style combines intellectual and moral development – critical and creative skills along with collaborative capabilities and the practice of global civic responsibilities. Her “think global, act local” philosophy promotes applied learning and real world connections in her classroom and beyond. Ali and her students collaborate with local and global intellectual community partners to explore unheard voices and perspectives. She is a doctoral student in the Gratz College PhD program in Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
