Mental Health Clinician, The Counseling Center
M.Ed., Mental Health Counseling, Boston University
B.A., Psychology, Brandeis University
I am a licensed mental health clinician (#10057) with a specialization in sport psychology. I enjoy working with college students and particularly with collegiate student-athletes to help maximize performance and more importantly overall well-being. Coming from a background in positive psychology, I strongly believe that each student brings into the therapy room a set of strengths that we can then build upon to help reach their goals and create change. I received my BA in Psychology from Brandeis University and my M.Ed in Counseling from Boston University.
I take an eclectic approach that utilizes a variety of therapeutic models (including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to meet the needs of each student. My clinical interests include sport and performance related issues, injury and chronic pain, burnout, anxiety and stress management, depression, trauma, and mindful self-compassion.
With a new lineup of ceremonies that reflects the College’s growing stature, Merrimack recognized the academic achievements of more than 1,250 graduates.
