Student Mail at Merrimack College
Intelligent Locker Package Retrieval
Students can receive packages at any time the Sakowich Campus Center is open via an access code sent by email. Packages will remain in lockers for three days and then be brought to the Post Office for pick up.
Mail Stop Code
- You will be assigned a mail stop code during the summer prior to the start of your academic year. You’ll keep this number for as long as you are registered.
- Please inform those sending you mail to include your mail stop code, per the format indicated below.
- Your code is included with your residency information and can also be accessed through MyMack.
- A package notification email will be sent when mail and packages come in. This email will direct students to either a window pick up at the Post Office, or a locker pick up, in which case the email will contain an access code.
Physical Mailbox
If you want to receive hard copy correspondence such as letter mail, birthday cards and financial statements, you may elect a physical mailbox with a key in lieu of a virtual stop number assignment. Email package notifications will still be received for pick-up items, but letters and other mail will go into this locked mailbox.
All registered students, including graduate students and commuters, can receive either type of mail service if they wish to use the college as their main address. Contact the post office to request this service.
Fees
There are no fees for either type of mail service, but there is a fee for replacement of lost mailbox keys.
Delivery Services
The campus post office accepts delivery from all the major carriers, including the U.S. Postal Service, FedEx, UPS and others. Emergency items that need to arrive on a weekend, holiday or any other time the post office is closed, may be sent c/o the Police Department and will be held for pick-up.
