Living-Learning Communities

Sharing Common Goals

The Office of Residence Life offers a number of living, learning, and connection experiences for first-year students and upperclass students.

What is a living, learning community experience?

Living, learning, community experiences (LLC Experience) are intentional living arrangements where residents share common goals, engage in a common academic program and participate in hands-on learning.

Merrimack offers a variety of LLC Experiences, including:

Austin Scholars LLC

As an Austin Scholar, you’ll celebrate Merrimack’s Augustinian roots by serving those in need in the surrounding communities of Lawrence and Lowell. Through service to others, study and learning, and living together in a community, you’ll explore your own personal values, ideals and spirituality. Events throughout the year are designed to help you deepen your self-awareness and the meaning of life.

Eligibility

Open to all majors — first-year, sophomore and junior residential students.
