ARCHITECTURE PROGRAMS AT MERRIMACK COLLEGE

Preparing the next generation of architects through immersive, practice-driven education.

Merrimack College is launching new undergraduate programs in architecture beginning in Fall 2026. The B.S. in Architecture (pre-professional) and the B.A. in Architectural Studies emphasize design excellence, emerging technologies, sustainability, and professional practice through an immersive, studio-based curriculum.

Undergraduate Architecture Programs

As an architecture student at Merrimack, you’ll gain hands-on experience in digital fabrication and community-engaged design while building a strong foundation for graduate study. Upon graduation, you will be well prepared to pursue advanced degrees, including the Master of Architecture (M.Arch).

Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies
$33.5K Annual Tuition

Merrimack’s new architectural studies major, launching Fall 2026, is an interdisciplinary degree that blends art and design. This is a degree built for students who want to make a lasting impact— through thoughtful, collaborative design, purpose-driven leadership and environmental responsibility.

Learn both hand and digital drawing and modeling. Explore real-world challenges through community-engaged design, and learn to design and draw from your imagination by developing your artistic abilities and communication skills.

Architectural studies students may choose to apply to graduate programs in architecture and design, but will need to complete additional coursework prior to entry.

ACCREDITATION

In 2025, Merrimack College launched two undergraduate architecture programs – the pre-professional Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Architecture and the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Architectural Studies.

These undergraduate programs are not accredited degrees. Merrimack is developing a graduate program to directly accept our B.S. students in 2030, and is pursuing accreditation for that accelerated graduate program.
