BIO 3076

This course will provide an examination of the theoretical and applied aspects of ecology at the organism, population, and community levels. Through lectures, discussions, and reading of foundational primary literature, students will acquire a conceptual and theoretical understanding of key ecological concepts, including: population dynamics; competition, trophic relationships and more.

Environmental
Policy

ESS 3550

This course will examine environmental issues from a policy perspective. The course will focus on both domestic and global environmental issues with an emphasis on comparison of the United States to other countries. We will examine both how values influence environmental policy and how different policy approaches, including regulation, taxing, law and incentives, influence values.

Justice

ESS 3100

This course will introduce you to environmental justice as a concept and a movement, as well as its guiding principles, theories, practices, accomplishments and challenges. In the United States and across the globe, people of color are subjected to a disproportionately large number of health and environmental risks in their neighborhoods and on their jobs.
