Our civil engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s general criteria and program criteria for civil and similarly named engineering programs, and features a rigorous curriculum that will help you learn how to build and maintain public and private infrastructure projects, including water systems, roads, airports, buildings, bridges and more.

Site Engineering
CEN 2001
This course explains the role that infrastructure systems and civil engineers play and have always played in society. Students will learn engineering and architectural principles while exploring the application of economic, environmental and social considerations in the context of civil infrastructure projects.
Mechanics of Materials
GEN 2012
This class explores the fundamental mechanics of how materials behave when subjected to loadings. Students will conduct laboratory tests evaluating the engineering behavior of materials, and will analyze the fundamental concepts of stress, strain, axial, shear, bending and torsional loadings.
Environmental Engineering
CEN 3050
This course provides an introduction to the processes and systems utilized in the principal areas of environmental engineering: storm water, wastewater, drinking water, air and solid waste management with emphasis on the principles and practices involved in the collection and treatment of storm water.
