The department of world languages and cultural studies works closely with the Office of Global Education to provide its majors and minors with study-abroad opportunities.

The department is actively involved in a variety of short- and long-term study-abroad programs available to our students, and serves as a center for advice and assistance to students who wish to study abroad.

Majors are encouraged to spend one semester or more of foreign study in a country where the target language is spoken. The choice of study-abroad program and courses to be taken must be approved in advance by the student’s department adviser.

Following are semester-long programs affiliated with Merrimack College that WLCS majors and minors can find a wide variety of courses taught both in the target language and in English, along with full-immersion and internship opportunities, as desired.
