Position Overview

The Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences in the School of Nursing & Health Sciences is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated faculty member to join their team. We are searching for a faculty member who is committed to excellence in teaching, engaging in service, and interest and experience to become the Program Director for the new Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership program. This is a 12-month appointment at a non-tenure track faculty level and has the responsibility of providing leadership as Program Director to the new Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teach on-line graduate courses
  • Advise and mentor graduate students
  • Participate in service to the department, school, college and professional community
  • Lead strategic recruitment and growth initiatives and retention of graduate students
  • Recommended adjunct-faculty hiring
  • Course development as needed
  • Mentoring online faculty as needed
  • Managing program budgets as needed
  • The ability to work remotely and independently and use technology as required to lead the program.
  • The ability to work with the College, the Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Science and/or designee, and Noodle as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Earned graduate degree with a major emphasis in healthcare specific administration or leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in academic leadership and administrative experience organizing and managing resources for healthcare related, on-line education
  • Demonstrated experience in program and curriculum development for on-lin education
  • Commitment to teaching and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and contribute to the mission, vision, and core values of Merrimack College
