Position Overview

The Division of Accounting, Economics, and Finance of the Girard School of Business seeks a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice (NTT) Faculty Position in Finance beginning August/September 2024 (Fall 2024). Primary Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will assist with the development and maintenance of business connections and partnerships in the field of finance, and integrate innovative experiential learning experiences into the curriculum, including internships, co-ops, etc.
  • The candidate will develop and teach both undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • The course load for this position will be three courses in Fall and four courses in Spring. The regular teaching load for term faculty at Merrimack College is four courses per semester. The course load reduction is in place to support the candidate’s efforts in developing experiential learning opportunities for students.
  • The candidate may also assist with academic advising, act as faculty advisor to student clubs, assist the Director of Mucci Capital Markets Lab on student managed funds, and conduct select service to the Department, School, and College.


Qualifications:

  • Should have relevant teaching experience and a Master’s degree with at least 10 years industry experience with CFA designation.
  • Experience in designing and teaching Derivatives and Fixed Income at undergraduate and graduate level is preferable but other finance specialties will also be considered. Courses may be delivered in-person, hybrid, hy-flex, and online teaching modalities.
  • Assist with the experiential learning experiences into the curriculum, internships/co-ops
  • Assist with Student Managed Funds

This is an on-campus position as employees are essential in order to provide a fully on-campus, residential college experience for our students and the community.
