I am a certified family nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of nursing experience working in acute-, community- and emergency/urgent-care settings. My research focuses on health literacy and the relationship to health and health outcomes. I also explore issues around effective healthcare communication, health education and enhancing self-care for patients and families with acute and chronic health conditions.
